Irene B. Woodworth	

	Irene B. Rice Duncan Morlan Woodworth, 91, of Mt. Vernon, passed away at 2:20 a.m. July 14, 2004 at Mt. Vernon Countryside Manor.
	She was born January 29, 1913 in Altamont, Illinois, the daughter of Thomas Davis & Lillian (Walls) Davis
	Prior to her retirement she had worked as a caregiver and babysitter and later was a greeter at McDonalds.
	Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Hughey Funeral Home with burial to follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Dix, Illinois.  Reverend Bill Miller & Reverend Jack Lucas officiated.
	Friends called from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
	Surviving are sons, Donald Rice & wife Doris of Pinckneyville, Gene Duncan & wife Tonya of  Mt. Vernon and Chuck Duncan & wife Tina of Dix; daughters, Shirley Benton & husband John of Du Quoin and Betty Crane of Dix; nephew Brandy Freeman & wife Doreen of Salem;  20 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 13 great great-grandchildren; 16 step grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren survive.
	Her parents, husbands, 1 son Gerald Dean Rice, 1 infant sister, 2 half brothers John Davis & Roy Davis, 3 half sisters Pearl Davis Clark, Zona Davis Freeman & Lola Davis Freeman and son-in-law Eldon Sonny Crane, Sr. preceded her in death.
	Mrs. Woodworth was a member of Casey Avenue Baptist Church.  She was a very loving, caring mother who loved her grandchildren and her greatest pleasure was being with her family.
	For those who wish, memorials may be made to Casey Avenue Baptist Church or Mt. Vernon Countryside Manor.
	Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Hughey Funeral Home.
